Teaching Philosophy

I believe students learn best in spaces that are student-led and grounded in curiosity and self-expression. My role is to help writing feel like exploration rather than performance. Each session follows the student’s rhythm and needs, whether that means working through structure or finding language for an idea that’s still forming.

My background in both art and English education shapes how I teach. I see writing as a creative act, an iterative process of discovery. Together, we work toward clarity and confidence, learning how ideas take shape through process and reflection.

Ultimately, I hope students leave with a deeper sense of trust in their voice so writing feels less about getting it “right,” and more about thinking, creating, and communicating with intention.
